Silent auction fundraiser

A silent auction is planned for noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 25 at The Perfect Workout, located at 109 A. Main St. in Newton. The business hopes to raise at least $1,000 to donate to the Susan B. Komen Foundation. There will be several big-ticketed items, such as merchandise from McCreary Modern and Lee Industries, Tweetsie Railroad tickets and handmade jewelry from Ana-Cristina-Godoy.
