Sign ups being held for tournaments, 5K run/walk

The Newton Parks & Recreation Department is hosting seven events to make Soldiers Reunion even more enjoyable, including a senior citizens dance, a cornhole tournament, a softball tournament, a pet competition, a horseshoe tournament, a 5K run/walk and a bicycle ride.

On Thursday, Aug. 8, the 2013 Soldiers Reunion Senior Citizens Dance for those ages 55 and older will run from 7 to 10 p.m. on the lower level of the Newton Recreation Center.
