Shorebirds best Crawdads in game two of series

After being one-hit against Hickory on the Fourth of July, the Delmarva Shorebirds returned the favor in game two of the series, handing the 'Dads a 6-4 loss at L.P. Frans Stadium on Thursday.

The Shorebirds (4-10 in the second half, 32-51 overall) were powered by a two-run fourth inning and three-run sixth frame, overcoming a 4-2 deficit in the game to take the lead for good.

Designated hitter Michael Ohlman led Delmarva with a home run and two RBIs.

Left fielder Jhonny Gomez drove in two runs for Hickory (11-4 in the second half, 47-37 overall), while Drew Robinson and Rougned Odor each tallied one RBI each.

The Crawdads and Shorebirds play the third game of the series 7 p.m. Friday at L.P. Frans Stadium in Hickory.
