Sherrills Ford paints the town pink

The Sherrills Ford community, along with businesses and churches are teaming up to “Paint the Town Pink” for a weekend of Breast Cancer Awareness. The festivities begin Thursday, Oct. 18 and continue through Sunday, Oct. 20. Area businesses and churches are working together to host events throughout the weekend.

Thursday’s pink event features a “Girls’ PINK Night Out” starting at 6 p.m. Residents can enjoy dinner at Sports Page and a private shopping event in Mooresville at the Byers Creek Shopping Center.

Many shops are participating in the event including Head Over Heelz, Tempt Boutique with a 20 percent give back to the American Cancer Society as well as Salon Envy. Salon Envy is also running a promotion all weekend long by giving back 15 percent of all salon services when customers mention the Pink Out. Pink hair extensions will also be available while supplies last from $10-$35 during the weekend. The special for Thursday includes styles and blowouts.
