Sherrill running for Clerk of Court

Judy Hoke Sherrill, a long-term official in the justice system in this county, has announced her intention to seek election to the office of Clerk of Superior Court for Catawba County, subject to the May 6, 2014, Republican primary.

Sherrill is a native of Catawba County and a graduate of Newton-Conover High School.

After nine years working as an executive secretary for H. Leslie Moody of Hyalyn Porcelain, Inc., in Hickory and 11 years for David Radke of Inter-Continental Corporation in Newton, she joined the staff at the Clerk of Court office in 1989 as a deputy Clerk.
