Searchers turn to cadaver dog

August 21, 2012

Catawba County Sheriff’s Department investigators used a cadaver dog to search for a missing Catawba County man on Tuesday. Ken Mohler disappeared last Thursday night from Gregory Wood Products. He reported to work at 4:30 p.m. last Thursday and text his wife around 7:30 p.m. that evening to say he would be home soon, but never made it home.

Sheriff Coy Reid, Deputy Walt Kisby, along with Catawba County Sheriffs Criminal Investigations Division members Kent Brown and Chris Branch started a new search Tuesday morning with a cadaver dog brought from New Bern.
