Schools seek proctors during testing period

April 30, 2012

Hundreds of Catawba County students will take end-of-year tests during the next six weeks.

The county’s three school districts need help administering those tests, and officials hope community volunteers will serve as proctors.

Elementary and middle school testing dates for NCCS, CCS and Hickory Public Schools are set for May 15-17 and May 21-30. High school testing dates are set for June 4-8.

For more information about proctoring, contact Kay Hoots for Catawba County Schools at 828-466-7042, Dr. David Stegall for Newton-Conover City Schools at 828-464-3191, or Shawn Clemons for Hickory Public Schools at 828-322-2855.
