Violet Lorene Butler Clapp, 92, of Newton passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Clapp family.
Sharon Denise Teague Whisnant, 51, of Hickory, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson, NC. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Hickory.
Emma Lee Atkins, 89, of Newton passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Burke Mortuary in Newton.
Jill Ann Shaw Heck, 80, of Hickory died Nov. 22, 2012 at Catawba Regional Hospice. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
