Samuel Eugene “Gene” Punch, 84, of Newton, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011, at the North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.  Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Punch family.

T. Dwight Josey, 78, of Maiden, passed away at his residence Wednesday, May 18, 2011.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home.

Sue Anne R. Appel Adams, 59, of Hickory died Thursday, May 19, 2011.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Drum Funeral Home in Hickory.
