Margaret Lucille Davis Cannon, 87, of Newton, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton. Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Cannon family.

Edith Cleo Holden, 93, of Cherryville, formerly of Lincolnton, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Carolina Care Center in Cherryville. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Joe Parks Power, 82, of Hickory, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. The Power family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremations in Conover.

Victor Esquivel, 47, of Lincolnton, died Sunday, July 3, 2011. Burial will at El Paraisa Cemetery in Copan, Honduras, at a later date.

Robert “Robbie” Eugene Caskey III, 9, of Maiden, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011, at his residence. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 9, 2011, from 4-7:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Church in Maiden.

Mabel Glee McGinnis Jones, 93, of Maiden, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton. Burke Mortuary in Maiden is serving the Jones family.

Mary Evelyn Hubbard White, 93, of Hickory, passed away July 8, 2011, at Brian Center East.  Services will be held Sunday, July 10, 2011, at 2 p.m. at E. F. Drum Funeral Home.

Bonnie Lewallen Jones, 82, of Denver, died Friday, July 8, 2011, at the Carolinas Medical Center in Lincolnton. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Drum Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Conover.
