Salute to Soldiers

"It's nice to know that, even after all this time and all these years, that people still appreciate us," said Peggy Isaac, of Newton. "It makes you feel good when people thank you, as a veteran. We went into service to protect the community, so that they could have celebrations and activities like Soldiers Reunion. A lot of them didn't come back, but that's what we signed up for — to do what we could to help somebody else out."
