Rockets end Hornets' run in Las Vegas, 83-79

The Charlotte Hornets run at the NBA Summer League championship is over.

Behind 25 points from Isaiah Canaan, the Houston Rockets ousted the Hornets, 83-79, in the semifinals of the Summer League tournament in Las Vegas.

Rookie P.J. Hairston led Charlotte (3-4) with a game-high 27 points and eight rebounds, while Josh Davis added 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Ninth-overall pick Noah Vonleh had a team-high 16 rebounds to go with nine points.

Houston advances to the NBA Summer League championship game, which takes place Monday against either the Washington Wizards or Sacramento Kings.
