River search reveals no new clues

August 23, 2012

A river search revealed no new clues as Catawba County Sheriffs Office continues to investigate the disappearance of Ken Mohler.

Catawba County Sheriff Coy Reid said one new search was conducted for Mohler on Thursday morning near Gregory Wood Products where Mohler was last seen. Three officers took a canoe out onto the South Fork River around 9 a.m. and stayed several hours searching the river. Reid said a team searched a nearby creek last week, but with water levels up teams were out again.

“The location is just so close to Gregory Wood Products, we are just searching anywhere we can,” said Reid.
