Richards wins 500th, Red Devils move into first place

The 500th win in the coaching career of Linda Richards may be one of her most important.

The Newton-Conover volleyball team rallied in a fifth-set tiebreaker to come away with a 3-2 victory against Bunker Hill on Tuesday.

The win puts the Lady Red Devils (9-1, 8-1) not only in first place in the SD-7, but it also puts Richards in an elite class of volleyball coaches in the state of North Carolina.
