Ribbon cutting today

The city of Newton plans to welcome new business Carolina Vines located at 19 N. College Ave., to the downtown area at noon today with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The event also serves as Carolina Vines’ grand opening.

Carolina Vines is a full-service beverage establishment serving fine wines by the glass and assorted premium bottled beers.The menu also offers an exciting array of light appetizers.

Carolina Vines is owned by Dennis Baucom, Twyla Deese and Michael Waltuch.

In addition to providing wine, beer and food, Carolina Vines displays art work from local artists.
