Residents asked to provide their thoughts, ideas

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) wants to hear from you regarding their transportation priorities as part of an effort to implement the state’s new law.

Last summer, Gov. Pat McCrory signed House Bill 817, also known as Strategic Transportation Investments. The bill will overhaul the way the state funds transportation improvements and allows the NCDOT to make more efficient use of its existing revenues to fund more investments that will improve the state’s transportation infrastructure, create jobs and help boost the economy.
