READER POLL: $2M town hall? Vote now

April 26, 2012

After more than two years of planning, budgeting and ups and downs, it appears Maiden will build a new town hall.

Maiden’s town council voted 4-1 Wednesday in favor of building a new $2 million town hall.

The final approval comes only 24 days after three council members voiced opposition to the plans during a regularly scheduled meeting.

It will cost Maiden about $2.1 million to build the 14,000-square-foot town hall.

Do municipalities today, particularly in Catawba County, need the type of town hall $2 million can buy? Vote now in The Observer News Enterprise's latest reader poll at observernewsonline.com.
