PREP WRESTLING: Results from 3A West Regionals

A total of 13 Catawba County wrestlers in the 3A ranks are state qualified after the completion of the West Regional match held at North Gaston High School on Saturday.

Four 3A region champions were produced, including St. Stephens' Blake Rogers (106 pounds) and Andrew Christopher (220 pounds), as well as Fred T. Foard's Mikey Vincent (120 pounds) and Ben Pitts (132 pounds).

The Indians finished as team runner-up in the final standings by 0.5 point to host North Gaston, while the Tigers came in third place.
