Bandys and South Caldwell played to a 0-0 tie in non-conference girls soccer Thursday in Catawba.
South Caldwell keeper Hannah Young saved 12 Trojan shots, while Bandys keeper Maria Carinci saved two shots on goal.
Bandys is 12-3-3 overall and 7-3-1 in the CVAC, while South Caldwel is 2-11-3 and 1-8-1 overall.
Lampe, Tate win doubles title
Newton-Conover's Ryan Lampe and John Tate won the doubles title in the finals of Thursday's Catawba Valley 2A tennis championships.
Lampe and Tate defeated the team of Draughn's Jared Zopp and Austin Helms in the finals 6-0, 7-5.
In singles competition, South Iredell's Patrick Hensley won the title, defeating Maiden's Zach Huffman in the finals 6-2, 6-1.
Lilly takes medalist, N-C takes team honors
Thomas Lilly fired a 69 at Fox Den Country Club on Thursday to earn medalist honors an 18-hole golf match in Catawba Valley 2A play.
Newton-Conover remained undefeated as a team in CVAC matches this season, piling up a combined team score of 305, which was nine strokes better than second-place Maiden.
Lee Mitchell paced the Red Devils with a round of 72, which was good enough for second place.
Bunker Hill's Tyler Lail came in third, carding a 75 round.

Hickory 5, Greensboro 4
The Crawdads continued the spark from a dramatic Wednesday victory with yet another win over the Grasshoppers on Thursday night at L.P. Frans Stadium.
It was the second-straight day that Hickory defeated Greensboro by a tally of 5-4.
Rougned Odor and Jeremy Williams led the 'Dads with two RBIs driven in each. Catcher Kellin Degland also drove in a run in Thursday's contest.
With the win, Hickory improves to 14-6 overall and takes sole possession of first place in the Northern Division standings.View more articles in:
