PREP NOTEBOOK: Tigers shutout R.S. Central

March 8, 2012

Taylor Rios and Liz Bell scored a pair of goals each to lift the Fred T. Foard soccer team past R.S. Central on Thursday, 6-0.

Caroline Durham and Ashley Jolly also scored one goal each for the Lady Tigers (4-1).

Foard's Hannah Skeen and Jennifer Montoya combined for the shutout in goal.

Prep baseball

Bunker Hill 6, St. Stephens 2

Up one run heading after five innings, the Bears scored four runs in the sixth to distance themselves in a victory against the Indians.

Oliver Reitzel and Justin Aiken both scored two RBI each for Bunker Hill (3-2).

Phillip Carroll and Logan Gray drove in an RBI each for St. Stephens (4-1).

Seth Brotherton picked up the win for the Bears, striking out three batters in seven innings. Ben Watson was tagged with the loss.
