PREP NOTEBOOK: Tigers beat Bears for Easter title

For the second time in as many days, the Fred T. Foard softball earned a shutout victory against Bunker Hill at the Cherryville Easter softball tournament.

The Lady Tigers (16-2) scored two runs in the first, four runs in the third, two in the fourth and nine in the fifth to earn the impressive victory.

Addie Bolick led Foard with three hits and five RBIs, hitting two home runs in the game, including a grand slam.

Ashley Oiver also had three hits, including a two-run home run.

Lexi Shubert allowed one hit in four innings, striking out nine Bunker Hill batters. Bolick finished the game in relief, tossing one inning and striking out two.

Montana Lineberger had the lone single for Bunker Hill.

Kadi O'Shell suffered the loss, allowing six hits in three innings. Anna Williams pitched in releif, allowing 11 hits in her two-inning appearance.
