PREP NOTEBOOK: Oliver's 8 RBI lift Tigers

Behind a three-hit, eight RBI game from Ashley Oliver, the Lady Tigers won their opening Northwestern conference game in a five-inning, mercy rule fashion.

Oliver connected on a three-run homer in the second inning, an RBI single in the third and a grand slam in the fourth inning to lead the Tigers.

Lexi Shubert also connected on a three-run homer of her own in the first inning. She also pitched five innnings, striking out 13 batters and allowing one hit.

Cierra Shull added a two RBI triple in the third inning, while Mackenzie Dziendziel hit a two RBI double in the third.

Maiden 7, Lincoln Charter 2

Lindsey Schronce hit a two-run homer to lead the Lady Blue Devils to their fourth victory of the season.

Hannah Callahan went 3-for-3 from the plate and also struck out seven Lincoln Charter batters in her seven-inning performance on the mound.

St. Stephens 11, Alexander Central 7

Zach Bumgarner drove in three RBI, while Phillip Carroll added two to lead St. Stephens to the conference victory.

Colton Allison pitched 4.2 innings, striking out four Cougar batters.

Bandys 2, South Caldwell 1

A pair of first half goals, including scores by Chandler Griffith in the 14th minutes and Cassidy Winchester in the 44th minute, lifted the Lady Trojans to a 3-0 record.

Macy Proffitt scored the lone Spartan goal in the 80th minute.

Maria Carinci saved six shots in goal for Bandys.

St. Stephens 2, Ashbrook 2

The Lady Indians earned the tie against the Lady Greenwave on the soccer field Tuesday.

Macy Franklin and Kalyn Meosky scored goals for St. Stephens (3-0-1), while Maggie Rankin and Michaela Stowe pocketed scores for Ashbrook (1-0-1).

Olivia Homes and Lauren Brooks assisted on the goals by Franklin and Meosky.
