PREP NOTEBOOK: Lady Indians 10-1 after victory

The St. Stephens volleyball team picked up a 3-0 road victory over the Freedom Patriots on Monday.
With the win, the Lady Indians move to 10-1 on the season.

Katelyn Houser led Saint with 13 assists, six kills and five aces. Jenna Boliek, Marisa Jones and Bailey Cloninger added five kills each. Cloninger also made 11 assists.

Defensively, Ashley Markland tallied 13 digs, while Jodi Kerley added seven.

Watauga 2, Fred T. Foard 0

The Tigers lost their first game of the season in their conference opener to the Pioneers on Monday.

Foard drops to 9-1 on the season and 0-1 in Northwestern 3A/4A play, while Watauga is 7-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the NWC.
