PREP NOTEBOOK: Indians tie 2-2 with Pioneers

St. Stephens tied on the soccer field Monday with Northwestern 3A/4A leader Watauga.

Nich Bryant and Luke Bruce both scored goals for the Indians (8-5-2, 3-1-2). Bryant also earned an assist on Bruce's goal.

Watauga's record after Monday's contest is 11-1-3 overall and 4-0-2 in conference play.

Several area contests postponed

Three area contests were postponed on Monday due to weather, including Fred T. Foard at Hickory soccer, Bunker Hill at West Caldwell soccer and St. Stephens tennis at Patton.

Foard and Hickory will play tomorrow, while the other two contests have not yet been rescheduled.
