Fred T. Foard earned yet another shutout on the soccer field on Monday with a 6-0 victory against South Caldwell.
The Tigers, who now have nine shut outs on the season, improve to 11-1 overall and 2-1 in Northwestern 3A/4A play.
The Spartans fall to 2-8 overall 0-3 in NWC play.
Khong Lo opened the scoring for Foard on a penalty kick. Thirty seconds later, Kenan Ruffner scored the first of his three-straight goals in the first half. The Tigers led 4-0 at halftime.
Scottie Whitman got the Tigers on the boaard to start the second half. His netter game on an assist from Zach Durham.
Ruffner ended the contest with four goals, adding his team's final score in the game on an assist from Daniel Tomberlin.
Several sporting events postponed due to weather
Three prep sporting events were postponed Monday due to inclement weather in the area.
St. Stephens' home soccer match against Hibriten was moved to Tuesday.
Two tennis matches were also postponed, including Challenger at Bunker Hill and Patton at St. Stephens. No make-up date has been announced for either match.View more articles in:
