Police Raid suspected Meth lab

On Thursday, Nov. 29, Narcotics Investigators with the Newton Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence located 214 West G St.  in Newton. 

The search warrant was executed as part of an investigation into the alleged manufacturing of methamphetamine taking place at the residence. The investigation started with an anonymous phone call tip to the police department. During the search, investigators located chemicals and other evidence associated with the production of methamphetamine. At the time the search warrant was executed there was no active methamphetamine production.
