Pitching, pair of homers lift Crawdads in 5-1 victory

Returning home from a lengthy eight-game road trip, the Hickory Crawdads put on a show on the mound and behind the plate before a packed crowd of 2,573 fans at L.P. Frans Stadium on Thursday.

A pair of home runs by Trever Adams and Chris Grayson, as well as a combined pitching effort from starter Kevin Matthews and relivers Taylor Dennis and Jose Monegro, paced the 'Dads to a 5-1 win against the Lakewood BlueClaws.
