NEWTON — “A dog can’t be p-i-n-k,” Sarah Wilson, 6, sounds out in a meek, shy voice. Sarah is tucked away in a corner of the Catawba County Library in Newton reading her “Pinkalicious” book. She is wearing pink flip-flops, a pink shirt and pink shorts.

Sarah has been coming to the library almost every Tuesday evening since July to read aloud with therapy dog handler, Revonda Seitz, and her Pomeranian, 6-year-old Nicole.
