Despite a pair of home runs by Hickory Crawdads right fielder Jordan Akins, the Delmarva Shorebirds erased a two-run deficit on Tuesday to come away with a 7-3 victory at L.P. Frans Stadium.

The home runs by Akins were his seventh and eighth bombs of the season, respectively.

With the loss, Hickory's series against Delmarva is tied, 1-1. The Crawdads beat the Shorebirds, 8-1, in the first game of the series on Monday.

The Crawdads host the Shorebirds in the third of the four-game series Wednesday at noon.
