One of two suspects arrested in car chase

One of the two suspects involved in Wednesday’s vehicle chases has been arrested.

Erin Olivia Shell, 34, of 7799 Piney Mountain Street, Hickory, was arrested by Catawba County Sheriffs Office and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and resisting a public officer.

Catawba County Sheriff Coy Reid said Shell came out of the woods around 6 p.m. on Wednesday and approached a home on Blue Star road.
