No. 20 Lady Bucs move to 13-0, top TCTC

The 20th-ranked Catawba Valley Community College women's basketball team picked up an 83-32 road victory against Tri-County Technical College on Sunday.

The entire line up for CVCC (13-0, 1-0) scored during Sunday's game, including a team-high 18 points from Anika Jones. Kadesha Gibbs added 12 points, Lativa Lee had 11 points and Matrice Sweezy scored 10 points.

Defensively, Jones tallied six steals, and the Lady Bucs held the Lady Hawks to 23 percent shooting from the field.

Tiara Jones led Tri-County with 12 points.

The Lady Bucs play their final game before the semester break on Friday at Thomasville Prep. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
