Newton man arrested for BB&T robberies

On Thursday June 26, Joshua Paul Wilson of 1918 Ellick Drive Newton, NC 28658 was charged with 2 Counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. The charges stem from a robbery on April 4th at BB&T bank in Maiden, and May 20th at BB&T in Claremont. Also, Wilson has warrants for Robber with a Dangerous Weapon that occurred on June 13th at BB&T in Valdese. Authorities credited numerous tips that came from citizens in the community that provided information leading to Wilson.
