Newton joins forces to keep connecting Thread Trail

Conover and Maiden aren’t the only municipalities in Catawba County who are working to connect the community through the Carolina Thread Trail.

Newton is also a major piece of this project.

Todd Clark, city manager of Newton, said that 1.5 miles of the city's Heritage Trail Greenway has already been established as one phase, which will run south on West 7th St. towards Radio Station Road, while the other will travel south on Radio Station Road to Hwy. 10 West.
