Newton-Conover Rotary salutes community

Newton-Conover Rotary Club presented its two highest honors during the civic organization's annual Rotary Night event.

During Tuesday's ceremony that included scholarship announcements and prizes awarded in the club's annual raffle fund-raiser, Newton-Conover Rotary announced the recipients of the Charles R. Corriher Vocational Service Award and the Dr. William T. MacLauchlin Award.

The 2012 Charles R. Corriher Vocational Service Award was presented to Teresa Warlick Biggs.

Newton-Conover Rotary Club presented the 2012 Dr. William T. MacLauchlin Memorial Award to Southern Furniture Company CEO Jerome Wilson Bolick, a member of the club since 1957.
