Newton-Conover negotiating with coaching finalist

Newton-Conover High School may have its next football coach by early next week.

NCHS Principal Kevin Campbell said Monday the school narrowed its list of candidates down to a final name, and officials are nailing down final details.

Campbell said he and Leeson will meet with that finalist Thursday to work out details and try to reach a final agreement before formally submitting a name at Monday’s NCCS school board meeting.
