New ownership keeps biscuits rising

Renwood Mills, Newton’s newest major industrial company and successor to the 78-year-old Midstate Mills grain milling operation, is saying “Hello” to the community with one of the popular Biscuit Day giveaways on Courthouse Square next week.

Michael “Mike” Manos, who hails from Texas, is the president and CEO of Renwood and will be shaking hands with local people on Wednesday, June 5. He will be carrying on the tradition begun several years ago.
