Montessori Mudstacle is a huge success

Catawba County’s first-ever mud run, the Montessori Mudstacle, took in proceeds of over $26,000 to benefit Montessori at Sandy Ford according to Mary Helen Cline, director of the school. 

The Montessori Mudstacle 5K and fun run, which was held on April 20, was the brainchild of Shane and Carrie Watts, whose children attend the school.  Shane, a professional off-road motorcycle racer and former world motocross champion, designed the course.  Carrie designed the 25 obstacles.
