Missing man still a mystery

August 29, 2012

After two weeks of searching, Catawba County Sheriff Coy Reid met with a missing man’s family Wednesday. Ken Mohler was last seen Aug. 16 at his job at Gregory Wood Products.

“I know the family wants answers, but as of right now we have nothing,” Reid said.

During the past week the Catawba County Sheriffs Office and investigators have interviewed more than 50 people with no new leads on Mohler’s disappearance. The interviews range from family members to fellow workers to possible suspects. Reid said leads are coming in, but all are just from people who think they’ve heard or know something. Reid said he believes the family still continues to search for Mohler near Gregory Wood Products where Mohler worked, but no new search parties by the sheriffs office have been conducted.
