Mayfield back in court

January 15, 2013

Mayfield

Former NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield may have a few less worries this week.

The cases against him in Catawba and Caldwell counties could be wrapped up as Mayfield was on the court calendar Monday in Caldwell County for four felony larceny charges but the case was continued.

Mayfield was in Catawba County court last week on felony possession of methamphetamine, three counts of felony possession of stolen goods and felony obtaining property by false pretense.  The judge in that case agreed to hold open the case for a week.

To read more of this story, pick up the Wednesday edition of Catawba County's community newspaper, The Observer News Enterprise, at newsstands throughout the county.
