The “highly anticipated” Marie and Twannette’s Bakery and Café, 31 N. College Ave., held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday to celebrate its upcoming grand opening.

Owned by sisters Teresa Blalock and Judy Early, the bakery and café offers “Cakes, Confections and Curiosities.” Baked goods include cakes, cake pops, cookies, muffins and more. The café will also offer cold-cut sandwiches featuring Boar’s Head meats, salads and more.
