Man faces forgery, larceny charges

A Vale man was charged Tuesday night with larceny of checks from his employer and cashing one of the checks at a nearby business.

Detective Matt Burgess charged Michael Shane Perryman, 31, of 8555 Old N.C. 18 South, Vale,  with one felony count each of Forgery of a Bank Note, Uttering a Forged Instrument and Obtaining Property by False Pretenses.  He is also charged with one misdemeanor count of Larceny.
