Maiden sets budget hearing for June 18

June 6, 2012

Maiden officials expect to approve a fiscal year budget at the town’s next council meeting June 18.

Maiden Town Manager Todd Herms said Wednesday that town officials will hold a public hearing in two weeks in an effort to approve the town’s nearly $16 million budget.

The recommended budget proposes dropping the town’s property tax rate by one cent to 38 cents per $100 of valuation. The reduced rate would continue to be the lowest of Catawba County’s municipalities.
