Local fireman wins state golf tournament

October 10, 2013

Still enjoying his recent golf success, Catawba County volunteer fireman Tony Waters admits he treats his golf clubs like some men treat their guns.

A great example is his new TaylorMade driver for which he was recently fitted.

Waters success includes his recently earned title as North Carolina State Firefighter's Association golf champion. He won the 2013 two-day tournament in August, competing with 167 golfers and 11 teams.

The annual golf tournament was Aug. 6-7 at Pine Hallow in Clayton.
