First quarter
At the first TV timeout, the Jazz lead a competitive game early 12-10. Paul Millsap with six points early for Utah, while Kemba Walker and Jeffery Taylor each have four points for Charlotte.
Jazz go on 8-2 run during break to force Charlotte timeout. Jamaal Tinsley and DeMarre Carroll each with a 3-pointer during the short run.
After the first quarter, Charlotte trails Utah 27-20. Al Jefferson paces the Jazz with nine points. Kemba Walker, Jeffery Taylor and Hakim Warrick each have four points for the Bobcats.
Second quarter
Bobcats tie the game at 29-29 with a thunderous dunk by Hakim Warrick, but trail 31-29 at the first media timeout of the second quarter.
With 5:24 left in the first half, Utah leads 37-33. Jefferson continues to lead the Jazz with nine points. Charlotte's Hakim Warrick has eight points off of the bench.
Behind hot shooting from behind the 3-point line, Utah's lead grows to double digits at 47-35 with 3:09 left in the second quarter.
An 18-2 run in the second quarter pushes Utah into a double digit lead heading into halftime. Paul Millsaps leads the Jazz with 12 points. Ramon Sessions with 11 points off of the bench for Charlotte.
HALFTIME: UTAH 63, CHARLOTTE 44
Third quarter
Charlotte starts the quarter on a 9-4 run, forcing a Utah timeout. With 8:29 left in the third quarter, Utah leads 67-53.
With 5:48 left in the second quarter, the Jazz re-extend their lead to 74-57. Al Jefferson is a force down low for Utah with 19 points and seven rebounds. Charlotte is bounced in scoring with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Ramon Sessions leading the team with 11 points each.
Down by as many as 21, Charlotte cuts lead down to 10 points before it swells back to 17 behind Al Jefferson, who has a game-high 26 points.
Charlotte trails 90-73 at the end of the third quarter.
Fourth quarter
At the first timeout of the fourth quarter, Utah leads the game 95-82. Al Jefferson with 26 points for Utah, while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist leads Charlotte with 15 points.
At the 5:07 mark, Utah leads 109-92.
The Bobcats fall 112-102. Ben Gordon leads Charlotte with 20 points. Al Jefferson paced Utah with 26 points.
