The Carolina Panthers (0-0) are hosting the New York Giants today at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
This is the second-straight season that the Panthers and Giants have met in the regular season. New York won 36-7 on Sept. 20, 2012 during "Thursday Night Football."

The Giants start the game with the ball. New York has a pair of third downs on the drive, converting one, but unsuccessful on the second. The Giants punt to the Carolina 33-yard line.
Panthers go three-and-out on their first drive. Cam Newton sacked by Mathias Kiwanuka on third down. New York takes over on its own 31-yard line.
INJURY UPDATE: The Giants' Henry Hynoski is getting X-rays on his right shoulder. His return is questionable.
New York quarterback Eli Manning sacked twice during his team's next drive, including one each by defensive end Greg Hardy and linebacker Thomas Davis. Hardy now with two sacks in today's game. Carolina receives the ensuing punt and takes over at its own 41.
Newton with a big run on third down to preserve his team's drive early. Newton really using his legs early, which is paying dividends. Panthers convert on fourth and short at their own 2 with a touchdown run by Mike Tolbert. Panthers ahead 7-0 with 2:33 left in the first quarter.
Giants take over on their own 20 after the ensuing kickoff sails into the end zone. Manning sacked for the fourth time in the game by the Panthers when he is taken down by Starr Lotuleilei and Hardy. New York punts, but the ball is touched by Panthers fullback Richie Brockel and recovered by New York's Larry Donnell. Giants take over at their own 38.
INJURY UPDATE: After receiving X-rays on his right shoulder, the Giants' Henry Hynoski will not return to today's game.

END OF FIRST QUARTER: CAROLINA 7, N.Y. GIANTS 0
Panthers take over deep in their own territory. The drive quickly ends on second down when Newton is intercepted by Giants cornerback Aaron Ross.
New York takes over on its on 17 and scores on the first play with a run by David Wilson, but the play is negated on a holding call. Giants continue to back up as Manning is sacked for the sixth time this game. Josh Brown with a 38-yard field goal attempt on fourth down, but he hooks it left. Panthers take over at their own 28.
Carolina really opening up their passing game on this drive. Newton with long pass plays to Steve Smith (13 and 15 yards) and Brandon LaFell (17 yards). The Panthers driving into Giants territory. Drive stalls at the 35. Graham Gano connects on a 53-yard field goal with 6:44 left in the second quarter. Panthers ahead, 10-0.
The Giants take over at their own 20 after Gano's kickoff sails past the back of the end zone. New York converts a rare third down attempt on an 11-yard pass from Manning to Victor Cruz. New York continuing to go backwards, though, as they punt again. Carolina takes over at its own 35.
Panthers try to score just before the half. Wide receiver Steve Smith appears to be injured on a long pass play that nearly went for a touchdown. Smith is tended to, but returns to the game. Panthers convert a key third and long just outside of field goal range. Carolina closes the half strong with a 16-yard touchdown pass from Newton to Brandon LaFell. Panthers leading 17-0.
After receiving the kickoff, Manning takes a knee as his team trails at the break.
HALFTIME: CAROLINA 17, N.Y. GIANTS 0
Carolina starts with the ball and capitalizes quickly. Newton finds LaFell again â€”Â this time from 20 yards out â€” to put Carolina ahead 24-0 with 11:35.
Manning intercepted on the next Giants drive by undrafted rookie cornerback Melvin White. Carolina takes over at the New York 38-yard line after a blocking in the back penalty on Hardy during the interception return.
Panthers quickly add another score when Newton rushes 3 yards for a touchdown. Carolina ahead 31-0 with 6:58 left in the third quarter. Giants coach Tom Coughlin livid on the sideline.
New York takes over at its own 20, hoping to get something going. Eli Manning has been sacked six times in today's contest â€” three by defensive end Greg Hardy. New York punts to give Carolina back the ball.
INJURY REPORT: New York's Cooper Taylor injured his shoulder during the last Giants' possession. His return is questionable.
Carolina punts for the first time all game with 14:44 left in the game. Brad Nortman punts 66 yards to the New York 33-yard line. However, an offside penalty gives Carolina a first down to continue its drive.
INJURY REPORT: Panthers cornerback Melvin White has a shoulder injury, but his return is probable.
In six plays, the Panthers mark 87 yards and score again. Newton finds Ted Ginn on a 47-yard pass to make it 38-0 lead for Carolina.
Giants start to build some momentum, but fumble the ball on a catch in Carolina territory. The ball is recovered by rookie safety Robert Lester. Panthers take over at the Giants 30.
INJURY REPORT: Giants receiver Reuben Randle injured his ribs on his team's last drive. His return is probable.
