The Observer News Enterprise is live at Time Warner Cable Arena for the Charlotte Bobcats game against the visiting New York Knicks.

Fourth quarter
Kemba Walker finishes as the leading scorer of the game with 25 points. Carmelo Anthony led New York with 23 points. Smith, who had the game-winning shot, finishes with 13 points.

J.R. Smith sinks a shot as time expires to give the Knicks the 100-98 victory. New York improves to 13-4, while Charlotte falls to 7-10.

Knicks miss a key shot with 15 seconds to go. Bobcats rebound, but turn the ball over. New York has a fast break, but it pulls up to call one last time out to set up a potential game-winning shot.

Bobcats continue to make mistakes late. Ben Gordon walks, giving the ball back to New York. Knicks call a full timeout with 39.8 seconds left.

Charlotte gives the ball back to New York on a five second call on the ensuing in-bounds. The Knicks capitalize. Raymond Felton makes a lay up. With 56.3 seconds left, New York and Charlotte are tied at 98-98.

Jason Kidd and Steve Novak each miss a contested 3-pointer for New York with a chance to take a one-point lead. Charlotte gets the ball back. Gerald Henderson misses a lay up, but Kemba Walker gets the ball back and calls timeout.

Carmelo Anthony leaves the game with 2:10 left after crashing into the Knicks bench diving for a ball. Anthony appears to have injured his pinky finger.

Both teams struggling down the stretch. Charlotte leads 98-94 with 2:46 remaining.

Bobcats trying to pull away, taking an eight-point lead after a 3-pointer from Ben Gordon. However, that lead is quickly cut down to three following a lay up by Tyson Chandler and a trey from Steve Novak.

Carmelo Anthony struggling from behind the 3-point line in the second half. After going 3-for-3 in the first half, Anthony is 0-for-4 from behind the arc near the midpoint of the second half.

Teams continue to trade baskets. Gerald Henderson with nine early points in the fourth quarter. Bobcats lead 84-82 at first TV timeout of the fourth.

Third quarter
After the third quarter, Charlotte leads 75-72. Kemba Walker is now the leading scorer in the game with 21 points. New York's Carmelo Anthony just behind with 20 points.

A three-point play by Kemba Walker with 5:52 left in the third quarter ties the game at 67-67. A lay up by Michael Kidd-Gilchrist gives Charlotte a 69-67 lead — its first since early in the quarter.

Tyson Chandler already with a double double early in the secon dhalf. He has 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Knicks start the third solidly, taking the lead by five points with 8:47 left in the quarter. Kemba Walker picked up a technical foul early in the quarter by arguing with the referee.

Second quarter
At halftime, Charlotte takes the lead, 53-51. Kemba Walker has 12 points for Charlotte, while Ben Gordon has tallied 12 points off the bench.

Carmelo Anthony leads all scorers with 20 points.

First quarter
Bobcats trail 26-24 after the first quarter. Carmelo Anthony with 10 early points for New York, while Kemba Walker leads the 'Cats with seven points.
