The Bobcats have lost their past two games, while the Nuggets come off of a 119-113 loss to the Washington Wizards last night

First quarter
Charlotte pulls ahead early in the quarter, but Denver fights back with three dunks by Kenneth Faried to take a 14-12 lead at the first TV timeout. Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari picks up two quick fouls in the quarter and is replaced in the line up by Corey Brewer during the early going. There is 5:57 left in the first quarter.

After the first break, Faried picks up a technical foul by slamming the ball after a personal foul on teammate JaVale McGee. Six dunks so far by the Nuggets — three each by Faried and McGee — and mostly in transition. With 2:27 left in the first quarter, Denver leads Charlotte 25-23.

After the first quarter, Denver leads 31-29. Standouts that quarter are Charlotte center Bismack Biyombo with four points and six rebounds, while Denver's Andre Iguodala (seven points, six assists) and JaVale McGee (eight points, one block, four dunks).

Second quarter
At the first TV timeout of the second quarter, Denver leads 38-37 with 8:14 left until halftime. A competitive game so far with a lot of movement up and down the court. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with four points early for Charlotte. His 10 points leads all scorers. Corey Brewer and JaVale McGee each with eight points to pace Denver.

With 5:33 left in the second quarter, Charlotte has taken a 45-44 lead. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Gerald Henderson each with 10 points to lead all scorers.

Charlotte calls timeout with 3:07 left in the first half. Denver has regained the lead by going on a 9-3 run. Kemba Walker in foul trouble after picking up his third foul. He sits down and is replaced by Ramon Sessions.

Nuggets get their largest lead of the game after a late run in the fourth quarter. Charlotte calls a 20-second timeout with 7.5 seconds left and trailing 60-52.

Ramon Sessions with a jumper in the final seconds, but the Bobcats still trail by six entering halftime.

Third quarter
Nuggets pull ahead by double digits in the second half, but Charlotte clams down to pull within five at the first TV timeout. Forward Josh McRoberts sees his first action as a Charlotte Bobcat after being acquired at Thursday's trade deadline for Hakim Warrick. He picks up an early rebound after checking in. With 5:38 left in the third, Denver leads 69-64.

With 3:04 left in the third quarter, Denver leads by eight points, 77-69. Kenneth Faried with 13 points to pace the Nuggets, while Ty Lawson and Andre Iguodala each have 11 points.

After three quarters of play, Charlotte trails 83-74. Four Denver players in double digits in scoring, including Kenneth Faried (13 points), Ty Lawson (11), Andre Iguodala (11) and Corey Brewer (10). Charlotte also with four players in double digits, including Gerald Henderson (14 points), Jeff Taylor (14), Kemba Walker (13) and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (10).

Fourth quarter
At the first TV timeout of the quarter, Charlotte trails 89-76 with 9:57 left in the game. Bobcats are going to need a big comeback in order to overcome this deficit.

With 7:02 left in the game, Charlotte is behind 96-81. Another TV timeout.

5:32 left in the game, and the Bobcats trail the Nuggets 98-85. Denver coach George Karl is given a technical foul just before the break.

Bobcats falling apart in the second half. Nuggets are up nearly 20 points, 110-92, in the waning moments of the game. There is 2:20 left in the fourth quarter.
