The Carolina Panthers hosting the Buffalo Bills in the preseason game at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
The Bills are coming off a 17-13 loss against the New York Giants this past Sunday night. Meanwhile, the Panthers start their march to become the first team to repeat as NFC South champions. No team has repeated as champions of the division since its inception.
Buffalo starts the game with the ball at the 20-yard-line. The Bills drive to the Carolina 2, but can't convert on fourth down. The Panthers take over with 10:23 left in the first quarter.
Carolina gets two yards on a pair of runs and punts. Bills take over at the Carolina 32.
Greg Hardy with his first sack of the preseason on Buffalo's first play of the second drive. Despite losing five yards on the play, Bills earn a first down on a catch by Robert Woods.
Bills get down to the 19-yard-line and settle for a 37-yard Dan Carpenter field goal.

Carolina starts its second drive at its own 18. Panthers earn their first 1st down of the game with a 13-yard pass from Derek Anderson to Greg Olsen.
Kenjon Barner also runs for a first down, while Anderson scrambles for a pair of first downs. On the first play of the second quarter, Anderson connects with a stumbling Kelvin Benjamin for a 29-yard touchdown pass. Unreal. Panthers miss a 33-yard extra point (NFL is trying longer extra points in preseason.
14:54 left in first half: CAROLINA 6, BUFFALO 3
Bills get the ball back, but punt and give Carolina the ball back at its own 12. There is 11:26 left in the first half.
Carolina can't convert, giving the ball back to Buffalo at its own 48 after a Nickell Robey return. E.J. Manuel is out at quarterback in favor of Thad Young. Manuel finishes with 9-of-13 passes for 96 yards and no touchdowns.
Bills drive in Panther territory. Dan Carpenter misses a 45-yard field goal to keep the score 6-3 in favor of Carolina.
Buffalo gets the ball back quickly, causing Panthers back up quarterback Matt Blanchard to be sacked and fumble. Bills get the ball back at the Carolina 28.
Anthony Dixon capitalizes on the turnover for Buffalo, scoring on a 1-yard run to give the Bills a 10-6 lead with 4:04 left until halftime.
Panthers second unit fails to convert again, stalling at its own 14.
After a punt and re-punt after penalties, Buffalo starts a drive at its own 27 just before halftime. Bills stall and Carolina tries to score just before halftime, starting at its own 29.
Blanchard is intercepted by Da'Norris Searcy, giving Buffalo a chance to score just before the half with 41 seconds left.
Carpenter makes a 42-yard field goal as the first half expires. Drive goes 6 plays, 14 yards in 41 seconds.
HALFTIME: BUFFALO 13, CAROLINA 6
Second half ready to kick off. Panthers receive ball to start the third quarter. Carolina starts at its own 21.
Joe Webb replaces Blanchard at quarterback. Webb vying for a roster spot, and Ron Rivera has hinted as potential keeping three on the roster this season.
Despite driving into Buffalo territory, Carolina is forced to punt. Bills take over at their own 11 with 9:42 left in the third quarter.

Panthers get the ball back at their own 5 and just over seven minutes on the clock left in the third quarter. However, they punt and Buffalo gets back into Carolina territory looking to add to its lead.
However, Carolina cornerback Josh Norman with a leaping interception over the head of wideout Marcus Easley in the end zone. Panther ball at their own 20. Webb working will with receiver Tavarres King. The two have hooked up on four pass plays â€” one negated by penalty.
Panthers continue to move the ball. The third quarter comes to a close with Buffalo leading 13-6.
END OF THIRD: Buffalo 13, Carolina 6
Webb to King again, and Kamaal Mcllwain is flagged for unnecessary roughness out of bounds. Panthers now at their 15-yard line. Carolina drives inside the 10 and scores on a 6-yard run by Darrin Reaves. A missed two-point conversion keeps Buffalo in the lead, 13-12, with 11:32 to go.
11:32 left in game: BUFFALO 13, CAROLINA 12
Bills start at their own 42 and methodically work their way down the field, getting inside the Panther 10. Buffalo running backs Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon working the ball on the ground very well.
On 4th and 1, the Bills score a touchdown, using a play-action pass by Jeff Tuel to Chris Summers. Bills ahead 20-12 with 5:46 to go.
5:46 left in game: BUFFALO 20, CAROLINA 12
Joe Webb working the offense in an attempt to tie this contest up. Panthers with a pair of first down passes, creeping into Buffalo territory.
Carolina with two minutes to go on the Buffalo 36. Panthers give up five seconds and move five yards on a holding penalty by the Bills. On second down, Joe Webb finds tight end Brandon Williams on a 31-yard touchdown pass. The two-point conversion pass is no good from Webb to Philly Brown.
Panthers attempt to drive and win the game on a field goal, but Marcus Lucas bobbles a pass, which is intercepted by Buffalo's Jonathan Meeks.
FINAL SCORE: BUFFALO 20, CAROLINA 18
