The Lenoir-Rhyne football team (13-1) received a big send off on Wednesday morning as they boarded a bus bound for Florence, Ala. to compete in the NCAA Div. II National Championship Game against Northwest Missouri State on Saturday.

Players and coaches were greated by the many fans in attendance for the event, which was held outside of Moretz Stadium in the parking lot.

Following the conclusion of the event, the Bears were escorted by Hickory Police through the school’s campus.
