There’s plenty to do at the Newton Recreation Center swimming pool, 23 S. Brady Ave. Cool off and celebrate the Fourth of July at the pool, or join later in July for swimming lessons.

Independence Day Splash Blast

The Newton Parks &  Recreation Department is planning an Independence Day Splash Blast at the recreation center swimming pool from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 4.

For the price of pool admission, area residents can visit the pool for a refreshing swim and join in pool games, karaoke, ice cream and fun activities for the entire family.
